Hehe, guess what, everybody! I moved!
That's right, at the age of eighteen, I moved out of my parents house and across the country...to live with my brother, his wife, their baby, and my sister.
So, it's not exactly like moving out completely. It's still family. But I don't have my parents with me, so it's kinda weird. I have to do things like buy groceries and toilet paper and do my own laundry all the time. Weird, huh? But really, it's been pretty fun. I miss my family, but this is a good experience. I had to learn to take care of myself sometime, right? My evenings have filled up remarkably fast. I've been here less than two weeks, and I have activities monday, Wednesday and Thursday nights, as well as some Tuesdays. Daytime, however, is seriously slow. Today I watched "The Price is Right" and ate lunch alone, then messed around on the computer, and finally worked a little more on unpacking and organizing. But that's okay, cause there is always someone to hang out with in the evening, or something to do.
So, my new life is a lot like the one I left behind back in '07, but a few things have changed. For one, everyone is all grown up, including me. And two, I now have a wonderful boyfriend who likes to visit me on the weekends, and bring Reese's for me. Yeah, couldn't get much better than that, could it? Anyway, this new phase in my life should be pretty interesting, and I'll be sure to let you all know about it as it happens...and, of course, make it sound a lot more awesome than it actually is to make myself feel better. :)
